So, if you are looking for a new hobby or want to enjoy delectable meals even during the coronavirus pandemic, get cooking. Here are some easy dinner recipes to help you begin.

  • Kathal Ki Biryani

This is a gluten-free preparation, cooked with flavorful spices and unripe jackfruit. Biryani is a royal delicacy and a piping hot plate can literally up your mood during the COVID-19 lockdown. You will require basmati rice, chopped jackfruit, onions, tomatoes, mint and coriander leaves, crushed ginger, garlic and chilies, a whole bunch of spices like cardamom, cinnamon and cloves, and sufficient amount of water. Cook it in a Dutch oven or pot, and let it stand for 10 minutes before serving. 

  • Honey Chili Potatoes

Potatoes, chili powder, garlic and chili paste, corn flour and salt are used for the first coating. The second coating requires flour, black pepper and corn flour.   • Hakka Noodles 

Simple ingredients like noodles, sesame oil, whole lot of vegetables and meat chunks are enough for tasty Hakka noodles. If you want street style or restaurant style noodles, make sure you pick the right ones. Use enough oil so that the noodles don’t stick to each other. Also, make sure the vegetables are thinly sliced, since large pieces might ruin the taste altogether. Hakka noodles are a complete meal by themselves, but you can pair with any gravy side dish.

  • Schezwan Fried Rice 

This is basically spicy fried rice, loaded with vegetables and cooked in Schezwan sauce. The main ingredients are cooked rice, vegetables of your choice, boiled baby corn, black pepper, green chili paste, vinegar, oil and soy sauce. Add all of them together and stir fry on high heat for at least 5 minutes. Add the sauce and toss well till the rice changes color. Make sure to garnish well with spring onions before serving it hot!
